Eye Rejuvenation
Improving the appearance of dark circles, under-eye bags, drooping eyelids, or excess skin in the eyelid area is crucial for optimizing the aesthetics of the periocular area. These conditions are often socially associated with signs of fatigue, aging, sadness, or illness, and can affect quality of life by lowering self-confidence.
I can help you improve this area using various techniques, such as:
Conventional Blepharoplasty:
Surgical blepharoplasty is a procedure in which an incision is made in the upper or lower eyelid to remove excess skin, fat, or both. It is especially indicated for people with significant sagging eyelids or bags under the eyes. Additionally, during the same procedure, drooping eyelids (ptosis) can be corrected if necessary.
This procedure is generally performed under local anesthesia, and the recovery time is usually short, between one and two weeks.
Advantages:
-
Removes both excess skin and fat.
-
Improves vision in cases of droopy eyelids that affect the visual field.
-
The results are long-lasting and visible from the first procedure.
Disadvantages:
-
May cause temporary swelling and bruising.
-
As it is a surgical procedure, there are risks associated with anesthesia and possible complications, such as infections or scarring.
CO2 laser treatments
CO2 laser-assisted blepharoplasty:
Laser blepharoplasty uses advanced technology, such as the CO2 laser, to make surgical incisions, coagulate and resect fat. In addition, it can be used as a complement to tighten the skin, reducing wrinkles and improving its quality.
Advantages:
-
Faster recovery: Thanks to reduced bleeding during surgery, recovery time is shorter compared to traditional surgery, which promotes faster healing.
-
Treatment for skin laxity: It is especially effective in cases of great skin laxity, particularly in the lower eyelids. This avoids the need to cut skin in that area, which reduces the risks of visible scarring and eyelid malposition.
Disadvantages:
-
Cost: Although it does not present significant disadvantages compared to traditional surgery, a possible drawback would be an increase in the cost of the intervention due to the use of advanced technology.
Periocular resurfacing with CO2 laser
The use of the CO2 laser in the periocular area provides a tightening effect on the skin, reducing wrinkles, improving pigmentation and raising the general quality of the skin.
In cases of skin with great laxity on the lower eyelids, this treatment avoids the need to cut the skin, which reduces the risks of scarring and eyelid malposition.
The procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis in the office or as an adjunct during a blepharoplasty in the operating room.

Visible results (before and after)

Dark circle treatment
Dark circles under the eyes are the visible result of darkening, loss of volume, or increased fat deposits in the skin of the lower eyelid (under the eyes). Possible causes include genetic factors, lack of sleep, aging, and other factors. Although dark circles do not affect vision, they can detract from one's appearance.
The most effective treatment varies depending on the type of dark circles, skin characteristics, and the presence of other associated conditions, such as under-eye bags. Many patients achieve good results with hyaluronic acid fillers. However, those who are not candidates for this treatment may benefit from other options, such as eyelid-specific peels, laser therapy, or lower blepharoplasty surgery.

Neuromodulators
This treatment is performed in the office and allows you to reduce the appearance of facial expression wrinkles, such as crow's feet, frown lines, and periorbital wrinkles.
Pterygium surgery
A pterygium is an abnormal growth of tissue, usually reddish in color, that grows on the white part of the eye (the conjunctiva) and invades the cornea. It causes discomfort such as tearing, redness, or a gritty or foreign body sensation in the eye. The larger it is, the more it invades the cornea, with the risk of progressive vision loss and high astigmatism. Surgery involves removing the affected part of the conjunctiva and replacing it with healthy tissue from the patient's own conjunctiva ( conjunctival autograft).
